Jaecoo J5 EV Launched in Nepal at Rs 60.99 Lakh, Expo Offer at Rs 56.99 Lakh

August 6, 2025 – SPG Automobiles Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of Omoda & Jaecoo vehicles in Nepal, has introduced the Jaecoo J5 electric SUV at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025. The J5 carries an official price tag of Rs 60.99 lakh, while a special expo booking offer has reduced the price to Rs 56.99 lakh for a limited period.

The Jaecoo J5 is positioned as a mid-size electric SUV, designed for both city commutes and light off-road conditions. It is powered by a 58.9 kWh battery and a 155 kW (207 hp) electric motor, delivering 288 Nm of torque. The company claims a driving range of 461 kilometers on a full charge.

The SUV comes with 185 mm ground clearance and practical features such as a panoramic sunroof, an 18-inch spare tyre with alloy wheels, and 480 liters of boot space. Suspension duties are handled by MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link setup at the rear, aimed at balancing comfort and stability.

On the design front, the J5 gets sharp LED headlamps, a full-width tail lamp, and a roof-mounted spoiler. A transparent front panel carrying the Jaecoo badge adds a distinct touch, while practical design choices like visible A-pillars and conventional door handles keep it functional and easy to use.

With its mix of range, features, and introductory pricing, the Jaecoo J5 enters Nepal’s growing EV market as a premium yet practical option for buyers looking at electric SUVs.
