August 6, 2025 – Cimex Inc., the authorized distributor of BYD in Nepal, has officially introduced the BYD Atto 1, globally known as the Seagull, at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025. The hatchback EV comes in two variants priced at Rs 28.95 lakh and Rs 32.99 lakh.
The entry-level Dynamic variant is fitted with a 30.08 kWh battery, which delivers a WLTP range of up to 230 km. The Premium variant steps up with a larger 38.88 kWh battery, offering a range of around 300 km. Both versions target buyers looking for an affordable electric car with practical range and compact dimensions for city use.

As part of its launch package, Cimex Inc. has announced several benefits for early customers booking the Atto 1 during the NAIMA Auto Show. These include a cash discount, one-year Auto Plus insurance, a free 3.3 kW portable charger, a 10-year extended warranty, free accessories, and a decade-long subscription to the BYD app for connected services.
With its compact design, modern styling, and affordability, the Atto 1 is expected to appeal strongly to first-time EV buyers in Nepal. The model combines BYD’s electric expertise with pricing that makes it one of the most accessible EVs in the country.
The arrival of the Atto 1 adds to the growing list of small, budget-friendly electric cars in Nepal, giving buyers more choice in a segment that has been steadily gaining traction.
